Why is a Bibliography Important?

A bibliography is important because it is showing all of the information you have taken from books, websites and other media information. You also need a bibliography because you need to acknowledge the place where you found it and without it it is like saying that you have made all the information yourself. This is also called plagaism and you could get kicked out of university for it if you're caught.

What is a Bibliography?

A bibliography is a list of books, websites, magazine/newspaper articles, interview, video or any other kind of media information you have taken from the person who wrote or said it originally and used it in your assignment/project. The APA (American Physicological Association) referencing system helps us write the bibliography for a book like this:
  • Author, last name first then first letter of name
  • year of publication
  • Title of book in italics
  • Publishing company
  • town or city is was publicated
For a website it is just the URL
